Alibaba hit $1 billion sales in less than 3 minutes on Singles Day

One of the biggest day in online shopping, Singles Day. Alibaba introduce this day against the giant shopping day Black Friday and it seems like Singles Day is now became the big brother of Black Friday in online shopping. 

In 2016 Alibaba break the record of  selling products in one day and this time with more enthusiastic Alibaba just passed $1 billion sales in less then 3 minutes.By the 40 minutes Alibaba Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) had surpassed $7.5 billion.

In just less than 3 minutes of sales Alibaba Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) total reach to $1 billion. Alibaba Singles Day have left behind Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Giant ecommerce company Alibaba is breaking all the records of previous years.

Sources confirm that 97 percent of the sales are coming from mobile devices. Alibaba focused on mobile ecommerce sales from past few years, providing users discount if they use Alibaba or Aliexpress mobile apps for shopping.

As the world is moving towards mobile e-shopping, everything in your palm just swap and order. Mobile ecommerce is raise by 200 percent in past few years all around the world and Alibaba is also targeting those customers.

Last year on Singles Day Alibaba grossed sale was $17.8 billion. But this year, Alibaba will surpassed these number at the time when you are reading this article.
