Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Review

In a conference on 4th October in San Francisco, Google announced the second generation of Pixel smartphone, Pixel 2. Its available in two sizes 5" and 6" XL. Contain lots of new features and things, let discuss all about it.

Difference between Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL

Well the major difference which you will see is that the size. Google Pixel 2 comes up with 5 inches with 1920 x 1080 OLED display screen while the Pixel 2 XL have 6 inches with 2080 x 1440 P-OLED display screen. Due to the difference in size, Pixel 2 have 2700 mAh battery and Pixel 2 XL have 3520 mAh battery. Which means Pixel 2 XL will have longer battery timing than Pixel 2.

Despite of size difference both Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are using same technology under the hood.

Always On Display:
Google introduces a new feature in Google Pixel 2, Always On Display. It means your phone will listen all the time in your surrounding and with artificial intelligence it will shows you relevant information regarding what its listening. For example if a song is played in the background and your Always On Display feature is on so it will show you the relevant information regarding that  you unlock your phone and ask it manually. Google Assistant is all behind this feature.

Camera:

Google Pixel 2 comes up with the highest rated Camera phone. With the score of 98, Google Pixel 2 beat both iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 camera, which received score 94. With 12 MP camera Google Pixel 2 is really hard to beat by other phone cameras.

Water Resistant:
Finally Google Pixel 2 comes up with waterproof now. That part was lacking in Google Pixel last year addition. Mostly people were upset when they know about that this feature wasn't available in the Google Pixel, but now in 2 its totally waterproof. Pixel 2 can survive in 1 meter of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.

Headphone Jack Not Available:
Most of the user didn't believe on the rumors that Google Pixel 2 will have no headphone jack, but now its true. It means your phone charging and headphone have one slot, so you can't charge and listen to music at one time.

Price:
Google Pixel 2 cost $649 and Pixel 2 XL will cost $849 for 64 GB model. For 128 GB model Pixel 2 is available in $749 and Pixel 2 XL in $949 price.With that a freebie is given by Google, if you buy Pixel 2 or XL  you will get a Google Home Mini. This is limited time offer, but not a bad offer.

Conclusion

Google have made a great progress in that past one year after launching Google Pixel. With a great high rated camera, amazing design, update Android version, water resistant and much more, i think its not a bad move to buy Pixel 2 instead of iPhone 8. Which  is more similar to iPhone 7. So if you are looking for new phone, what should be best other than Google Pixel 2 or XL.
