COMFY An IOT StartUp Review

COMFY an Oakland base startup, working on IOT (Internet of things) technology to make people work space comfortable.

My first startup review is from  Google Venture in robotics areas. Well at the start i was a bit confuse what this COMFY is about. I went to there website, watch videos, visit a bit then i realize what they are selling. Basically they are selling the IOT (Internet of things) product which can control the environment of your office whole building.

As an example if you have three stories office building and you are sitting on the first floor, with comfy you can control everything of the whole building just from your mobile app. Like cooling system, lights and other thing. More over you can also get that where is your employees.

The best part which i like in this app, is that it give leverage to not only employer but also employees to set the environment what they want. If i'm not feeling well i can change the cooling environment by just using a simple friendly app.

What they says about there product is, "Comfy insights combines people data and building data to deliver insights you  need to create the best workplace experience. By connecting employees directly to existing building systems, Comfy allows anyone to create environment they need to do their best work".

Comfy is not everyone product. Means its not for common user, its just for office and commercial buildings where employees are working.

Now lets talk about Comfy website. Its a common business product selling website. Normal and easily to user UI/UX designing. You will find an introductory video on every page. Like if you go to home page you will find a video about and app and on about us page you will find the company video.

Clicking on request a demo you will see a normal simple popup design. Which i like, because it should not be fancy and should not take user to another page. As a normal user i can't tell you about the app because i can't test it, as i told you before its not a consumer product.

After all reviewing Comfy, i would say that idea is good and innovative but the target market is too limited. That's why the idea didn't attract me at start. Like i should say the first impression isn't that good. You have to deep dive into the details to know what they are selling. The introductory video should be that much strong so the no technical person can easily judge what Comfy is all about. In my point of view they should move this product to house hold users, so a consumer can use there app to control its house.
