Google Home Mini Vs Amazon Echo Dot: Which One to choose

In my last post i have done review of Google Home Mini with its Pros and Cons. In that article i have gave a little bit overview of Amazon Echo Dot too and compare Google Home Mini with it. Now lets look at these two competitor deeply to find out which one is better for you.

Last year Amazon launched small size home speaker and name it Echo Dot. This year in Google launched Google Home Mini same as Google Home but smaller in size and with different shape and color. Why Google launched Home Mini? Well there are lots of factors behind that. First Google Home wasn't look that much attractive to people. Its design is more towards having a perfume bottle in a room nor a speaker. But the major fact which as common user viewer, i think its the popularity of Echo Dot among people. 

Echo Dot is cheaper and smaller, so everyone can afford it and it can perform all the functionality which a smart speaker can perform. That was an alarming thing for Google and one thing more Apple also jumped into this list by introduction Apple Home Pod. Giant search engine had to try something different to capture the market of smart speaker, so they introduce Google Home Mini. Same functionality as Google Home but smaller in size and cheaper in price. 

Google Home Mini is quite larger then Amazon Echo Dot. Have amazing fabric on the top of it which is missing in Echo Dot. If you go for sound quality for voice responses Google Home Mini took that advantage over Echo Dot. Home Mini is available in three different color while Echo Dot have just one color. Having giant search engine behind, Google Home Mini can answer your quires easily and more towards accurate. One more thing Echo Dot is missing which Google introduces in latest Google Home is phone call. Now you can call from Google Home and even find out your misplaced phone in home. This feature is also available in Google Home Mini.

Amazon Echo Dot is very user friendly why i'm saying that. Because Google Home Mini have sensitive touch, as it have no button on it as Echo Dot have to you need to tap Home Mini to low or raise volume or pause it. With a little touch you can just mess up with the things. The biggest disadvantage which i'm worried about is the fabric in Google Home Mini. As its fabric so it will catch dust and which means the shine will not stay as long. Both have almost same price, Google Home Mini is available in $49 while Amazon Echo Dot is on $50.

Conclusion:

Well if you are person who is gather by Google ecosystem then you must go with Google Home Mini. Otherwise you can try out Amazon Echo Dot have almost same functionality. But Google Home Mini have much more then Amazon Echo Dot. Both have pros and cons as we discussed about and the price is same. So its up to you which you choose.
